Regional Sales Manager Rotterdam
The Regional Sales Professional Polymer at Lucite international Holland B.V. will be responsible for the achievement of sales targets and budgets within the Polymer market in south Europe. You will develop and implement account plans in line with the Polymer sales strategy to achieve volume, revenue and gross margin targets, whilst staying within cash and credit limits. To support you in doing this, you know how to involve and make best use of group resources (Technical, R&D, Marketing, Finance) to support and maintain our market presence. Further, you will work in conjunction with the CSRs in the provision of a monthly forecasts for input into the S&OP process and be accountable for the accuracy of said forecasts. You act as Lucite International's prime commercial contact with targeted new and existing customers and develop and manage those relationships to ensure mutually profitable partnerships. At the same time you will ensure that quality and service levels specific to their particular needs are developed and maintained in order to sustain competitive advantage and gain market share. You will represent the business at relevant industry associations. In case of complaint issues you will review this with the customer, inform the business of the nature of the complaint and will be responsible for its commercial resolution. Finally, you will communicate regularly with the respective Commercial Manager and customers regarding market trends and the results of our market activities, growing our knowledge and customers' confidence. In this role you will report to the Commercial Manager and work close together with the Market development Manager and R&D team.
You are a real hunter, eager to find new customers in targeted areas where you guide these new customers to product and technology development opportunities, negotiate price deals, monitor account profitability and target improvement in order to improve profitability. You have the ability to deliver sales across the South of Europe with a good understanding of working within different cultural environments and have excellent linguistic skills for the territory. You have a proven ability to use data to influence plus strong interpersonal and communication skills, including written reports and presenting to others. Commitment to customers requires that out of hours activities, both commercial and social are an additional demand on time. There is a requirement to travel, including overnight stays.
Your qualifications and experience
- A strong understanding of Polymer Chemistry - a science degree or equivalent is desirable - and experience of achieving sales growth into a technical environment, preferable selling high value products.
- Fluently in French and English is required and preferably Spanish or Italian to facilitate sales of Polymer in Italy and Spain.
- A good understanding of and experience in commercial principles and activities
- A self-starter approach, comfortable with developing potential leads
- An outgoing, professional and personable style and the ability to find and develop strong and lasting relationships with key customers
- Excellent organization, planning and IT skills
