The Account Manager Chemicals is responsible for expanding existing business and gaining new clients in the southern region of the Netherlands and Germany. Clients are diverse; agricultural companies, sport & leisure, biomass incineration plants, filtration, producing companies. Together with your counterpart Sales Manager for the north you ensure a year on year growth of results and gain a bigger market share.

Tasks and responsibilities:

- Development of existing and new business and retaining clients mainly in the agriculture market

- Calling and visiting prospective clients and getting them in as new clients

- Analyzing market and sales figures

- Keeping track of trends in the market and ensure a follow up on them

- Take ownership on the complete sales cycle from the first call up to and including closing the deal

- Close cooperation with your commercial manager and Sales Manager counterpart

- Reporting of sales visits and results within the team and your management

Functie eisen: 

- Bachelor or Master degree chemical engineering, Agriculture, or similar

- A minimum of 3 years of outside sales experience in the chemical industry

- Experience in dealing with (prospective) clients on different levels within the company

- Track record in new business development

- Able to work independently but an excellent team player in an European Sales Team

- Fluent in Dutch and English both speaking and writing
